We seem to be just in between summer and fall here because the weather has been so warm still. I took Leonard for a walk in the park yesterday and was reminded again just why I love fall so much. The trees are just beginning to turn, though they are mostly still green, the sun is low in the sky and the sky is the most brilliant shade of blue and best of all it is not too hot. Dreamy weather.
Kitchen busyness still continues and I know I need to get on and make some apple butter but by the time the weekend rolls around, Andy and the kids are tired and they just want to hang out at home. I, on the other hand, have been home all week and keep suggesting lots of activities. Hey, let's go out for brunch, how about we go apple picking, let's all put on our boots and go for a walk in the rain, hike anyone? It's all falling on deaf ears, they just want some peace and quiet.
I have been taking knitting classes again and have been so energized to knit again. I have two small projects in the works and several bigger ones on the back burner. I have ambitious plans but I know I will have to keep going to class if I am going to finish them. Realizing the boost I got from knitting class, I went ahead and joined a quilting group too. The first meet-up is in a couple of weeks.I'm pretty darn excited.
