There's a definite tinge of pink round here of late. I finally (finally) started a new quilt. I was humming and hahing and looking through a ton of books but really couldn't quite get excited enough to start anything. Then I said to myself, just make something, anything and so I decided to use up my scraps. First out of the cupboard...pink! It feels good to have a new project.
My daughter and I started making Valentine's Day cards for her classmates. I carved the heart stamp using Geninne Zlatkis' wonderful book, Making an Impression. Truly, the best book on stamping I have ever bought. This book deserves its own post and soon it shall have one. My daughter carved out the love stamp almost completely by herself. I bought some pink card from Jo-ann's, cut it to make quite small cards, then we stamped them and she wrote in them. I am debating whether or not to stick a lollipop in with them. Can't decide.
Keeping up with the pink theme, I'm making these cookies today. Just hope I have some pink food coloring.
