I've been a busy little bee in the kitchen recently, hence all the food related posts.I'll have some crafty stuff to share soon. Probably.
Leonard likes hanging out with me in the kitchen and he'll curl up on his bed and watch me cook or if I'm peeling carrots he'll come and sit on my feet and wait for me to drop something. He usually gets rewarded and he will eat anything. He's cute and I love him.
One of the things that has become a staple in our house recently is the Beauty That Moves granola recipe. I make a batch of granola each week and this has been our favorite recipe for a while. I like the flavor of the coconut oil and we add lots of almonds and pecans because me and my girl love them.
The other new and amazingly delicious recipe I tried out was little pots of chocolate. The recipe came on the back of the Guittard Milk Chocolate chips packet. I halved the recipe and it made four perfect servings in the tiniest Weck jars. It was so very good. Here's the recipe as I can not find it online:
Milk Chocolate Pots De Creme
2 cups (11.5oz) Guittard Real MIlk Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup butter
Place chips in blender container.
Heat milk and butter in small saucepan over low heat while stirring, just until mixture begins to boil. Immediately pour hot liquid into blender container. Cover and blend at high speed until smooth, about one minute.
Pour into dessert dishes and chill at least 3 hours, until set.

I am not really sure you'd need to blend it, though I did, I think it would be fine if you just made sure all the chocolate melted. I might just be making these again so I'll report back to you without using the blender.
Have you got some favorite recipes to get you through the winter? I'd love to hear them, I am on such a cooking kick at the moment. (Cue end of cooking kick.....now.)
