Andy turned 43.
We celebrated with some jelly and ice cream, a few presents and a lot of love for him.
I made a million mini cupcakes for Valentine's Day. Next year it's bubbles instead.
The kids and I made some new spring-welcoming art for the kitchen. The idea came from this book. They enjoyed printing with potatoes and I was surprised I had never done that with them because I remember doing that a lot as a kid.
Tiny dancer had her parents observation week at ballet class. She forgot her ballet slippers, for the first time.
I set the table with pink, to remember that spring can't be too far away. Can it?
I got my fortieth birthday present early. A new kitchen table and chairs; I am officially old and officially a homebody.
The kids and Andy had fun setting up and acting out their newest toy theater by Edward Gorey.
"This is very important. Our lovable dog has gone away. Thank you for listening to the news. I love Emlyn even though he has gone away in Monmouth." by my daughter. Letting our dog Emlyn stay in Illinois was a tough decision but bonds were forged that shouldn't be broken.
It's been so wonderful watching all the reading and writing going on this month. Especially when it is a joint venture.
Hope your February was just as lovely.
